    So apparently
Both The Glorious Habs and the Snores will be overwhelmed by the shear overwhelmingness of both the warshingdumb overchickens and the smouldering pile of compost
Such clear choices have never been presented to such hockey knowledgeable experts as contained in both the SFU and SploogeNet
Never was there a doubt or a hint of a doubt
Course the Snores smokin the compost pile 3-0 in the regular season means nothing
Cause you know … you know cause Captain Underpants and Disappearing Mitchie are on the watch
    I dunno about us
We need Monty to stop the wrist shots from the blue line
We need Sevens Heineken and army to step back up
We need TJ Wool and ID to gel wow imagine the horror
We need AX dressed and play hockey not kill bill
    And
We need suzi to be suzi and cc to be cc

  10. Big Play Dave has announced his retirement after the playoffs. That should be a signal that it's OK to sit him for the AX man in the playoffs. At least on a rotation to start.
    Doubt it happens though.

  11. Two keys to start the series...don't let Ovi get on any kind of roll. Someone needs to stay on him like shit on a shovel.
Habs have max 28 games left to play and I think they will need all of them - if they can go 16-11 that's like playing ,590 hockey from here on in.

Ax needs to play but play smart and not be in the box. In fact the whole team needs to stay outta the box.

Habs can beat the Caps. Turn off the leaf blowing and watch the game. Fuck them all. We won't get any respect until mid June - worry about it then .

  13. Since Jan. 01, the Habs and Caps have very similar win/loss records but the sfu won't mention that. The Habs have been playing desperation hockey since mid February while the Crapitals have been more interested in getting Ovie to 895 and have been stumbling around ever since. I think this round will be closer than all the sfu 'experts' think but, it will depend on whether Monty plays like the second coming of Jacques Plante or like Andre 'Red Light' Racicot.
Good on Big Play Dave for letting Kent know ahead of time that he will need a #1 RD for next season. It will be interesting whether that comes internally or from a big trade.
And, just a reminder to the sfu and leafools ... it was 3-1...

  21. Herb was overall not the guy we needed, however,
The current Montreal Canadiens, that we are all excited to see start their playoff run on Monday have the following players acquired during his tenure:

Suzuki - A number one center, and MVP of this team for almost three years now.
    Caufield - A 1st line scoring winger
    Guhle - A 1st pair LHD.
Montembeault - An above average number one goaltender.
Dobes - Our current backup goaltender.
Gallagher-Dvorak-Anderson - Overpaid but absolutely essential veteran players constantly being used by Marty in critical game situations to right the ship or gain momentum.
Armia-Evans - Linchpin members of the defensive posture of this team.
Savard - Struble - Xhekaj - Depth, bottom pairing defencemen, that will bring physicality.

  80. I thought Savard gave MSL an out to sit him by telling the media his body is basically broken and he can't continue after this season. But one of Marty's biggest flaws is not punishing veterans while a guy like AX sits in the press box. Armia is another one. He's been playing with a bad wrist for months and it shows. Replace him with Kapanen.
Same thing happened with the previous coach in the cup final run. I remember Gallagher, Toffoli and (Armia I think) were all basically playing on one leg or some other significant injury while KK watched from the box.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I can't see Marty taking any veterans out. Big Play Dave is still good on the PK and he wants his last shot. Even a one-armed Army is better than a young Kappy. I'm OK with what's going on. If Marty wants tp switch out Strobe for the Sherriff, sure why not. If AX is on the ice maybe there won't be as many cheap shots going on that the biased refs are allowing.
Here is a list that I've read about so far :
      1. Gally cross checked in the teeth -- no call
      2. Fast Lane sucker punched in a scrum -- Craps get a PP
      3. Wilson leaves his feet to hit Guhle -- no call
      4. Matt Roy cross checks Wool in the back trying to tip a pass for no icing -- no call (for interference) -- Craps score in OT.

Tell me again how NHL refs are the best in the world. Fuck you gary.

    1. I think he is there, but in the bumper spot which they haven't successfully used for the past dozen games. Yeah put him back on the flank. Wool is trying too hard for the perfect shot and it's impacting his outcome.

  111. Sooner or later the breaks are gonna go Montreal's way. The dumb bettman ref's can't save these dipshit washington fucks forever.

  112. As shit as the refs were, our guys gave it their all. Credit to the Caps tender, he made some great saves to keep the lead.

On to Montreal. I'm sure our fearless leader will have an excellent gameday thread.

  122. Hey we can forget about hockey for a night. Night 1 of the NFL draft.
Looking for my Pats to take big 6'6" 320lb OT Will Campbell at #4.
Unless they trade down, the NYG might snag Travis Hunter at #3.
And QB Sanders could fall to moe's Steelers at #21. Boy has his stock fallen. I blame his father.

    1. Hunter or Abdul Carter to the Giants. I've read they may trade up for another first round pick to get QB Jaxon Dart or Jalen Milroe for the future. Yeah, Sanders sure has dropped, nobody wants to deal with Prime Time.

  125. we are about 20hrs out from gm3 and im still livid at the way the reffs have not been doing their jobs AND at the habs (MSL) for being so patient to go with the guys who took em to the dance.

somebody said it ealier requoting einstein (moe, the M?).

i didnt voice it, but i thought it was a mistake to keep wifi out of gm1. now im sure it was a mistake to keep him out of gm2. please please please dont let gm3, be your most fatal and final mistake!

i dunno how, to slot him in, but joshuahua impressed me. most likely spot i see is heineken's despite how u feel about him St.P.

oh... and the only rational reason why i havmt calmed down is b/c the nhl office of player safety did diddly squat. unless one of our own does the same exact thing in gm3, ill be on next level rage. msg has been sent by the Craps. the league has by neglect, condoned it. this is your 'hint hint' free pass boys. somebody step up and channel your lil pez, or your hidden corson/ ludwig/ mcphee/ green/ chelios... theres a time for talk and then theres time for action.

sorry for long rant. lots of internal turmoil over here.

    1. I hear you oleg but the refs for Gme 3 might have their own ideas. Certsinly the Buttman mentality of this league can't be pleased 5/16 of the teams in the playoffs are Canadian and nothing would make them happier than seeing the Habs and Oilers exit early.

One way to look at this: the '93 Cup run started exactly tge same way, with the Nordiques taking a 2-0 lead before the big comeback. Could be something to rally the team with. They certainly have shown a bounce or two could have reversed the outcomes.
