I can’t remember the last time I waded thru on of his publications life is too short and quite frankly there are piles of high school kids who could easily replace him
Comon gazoo leave him to talk fashion and cardashian news

    1. At $75/year it's great!
But not without its issues and limitations.
I can find nearly anything I want and it's fine 95% of the time.
Switching channels certainly isn't as convenient as cable but once I figured out to add favourites it's not bad. Takes time to load everytime I log in. From what I hear there are better IPTV options than the service I have. one pal said his service crapped out and shut down and he went searching and found there are 'registered' IPTV subscription services in Canada so he went with one of them. Not sure what that all means or how it's been working for him. But there are dozens of options out there. Finding one to trust is the key. Mine isn't perfect but I like the fact I could just e-transfer money. No CC info.

Stars the lovely Anna Sawai of Shogun and 71 year old Kurt Russell plays a very fit 90 year old...they mention that in episode three and he just says "good genes I guess". EP Rinkside has ranked the Montreal Canadiens #3 in their NHL Prospect Pool list.

    Their top 10 Habs prospects:

    1- Ivan Demidov

    2- David Reinbacher

    3- Lane Hutson

    4- Joshua Roy

    5- Jacob Fowler

    6- Michael Hage

    7- Owen Beck

    8- Logan Mailloux

    9- Adam Engström

    10- Emil Heineman

    1. Strong prospect pool. Are we there yet? Probably not, I read the other day they are the 2nd youngest team in the NHL with the Sabres being first. Experience plays a big role as Florida showed this past spring with that previous year's deep run. So, I guess we should temper our expectations and hope for a competitive team. I will say though, the 1986 Habs won with 9 rookies led by Bobby Smith, Ryan Walter, Bob Gainey and Larry Robinson.

  20. That's a decent prospect list. I hope J Roy pans out. Beck should be a sold 3rd liner. I know he hasn't faced the same competition but I still say that Russian goalie they drafted last year could surprise and he and Fowler could be a strong tandem in 3-5 years. Or I could be totally wrong.

I hope we have a nice rotation of 20 games up and twenty games down for our extrodinary crop of D men. Can we please get some kevlar underwear, and carbon fiber exoskeltons for the crew. How can the Habs lead the league in injury every year? Is there something in the water in Montreal?

Fast Lane is electric. He's got the MSL tree trunk legs which should help him survive and flourish as an undersized damn.

  41. Tough OT loss for my Pat's. Oh well., this was one of the four games I thought they might win this year. Last week's win was a bonus so they've evened out. Need another top 5 pick to find a stud left tackle to protect their future QB.

    Congrats moe.
M- we'll be battling it out for a nice high pick again, but I suspect your guys will be looking for a QB so no conflicting requirements .

    ReplyDelete
  42. My Giants played a good road game. Lost their kicker on the opening play so they lost 3 points on their 3 TDs and had to go for it every time on 4th down. Washington won with seven, count'em 7 field goals. QB Jones didn't lose the game or commit any turnovers so kudos to him. Malik Nabers is the real deal and gives me some hope. The Giants D played well but it was only Wash. so there is that. Agreed, it will be another top 5 pick in 2025 for my G-Men and it will be a QB, they have the next guy picked out already.
Congrats on the W to moe, the Steelers sure are lucky Justin Fields fell into their lap, sheesh, Caleb Williams ain't looking so hot tonight.

Meanwhile, I see the unlucky Blue Jackets have signed JVR for this season but they are way below the salary cap floor. It would not surprise me to see TFS' contract end up there.

Thinking those two Fast Lane and The Beckster are the ones pushing for a spot
I see lots of competition coming at the real camp
Just such a refreshing change from those years of bicep burgy saying how impossible it is to get a good centre man or a power forward
Looking forward to the opener against the leaf

  44. Sid showing what a class act he is and what it means to put the team ahead of everything else. There are certain players on a certain team (don't want to sully our pages with the name) that could take a page out of his playbook if they think they are in win now mode. But they will languish for years instead.

That said, just because he's signed doesn't mean he couldn't agree to a move to the Habs at the deadline if the Pens are faltering and the Habs surprise their detractors and are in a playoff position. Right?!

    ReplyDelete
  45. “One of the players texted me and said, ‘Lane Hutson is going to make a run for the Calder this year,’” Friedman said. “They’re sitting there and saying ‘Can you believe what this kid can do?’”

I don't believe for one second that a member of the Montreal Canadiens texted the fried man. I think it's the fried man saying it himself but doesn't want to upset his overlords. Personally I think that's a very tall order to fill...maybe fried man is putting it out there to try to put more pressure on the young man. Who knows.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Here is my prediction for Rock Fast Lane Hutson:

He starts the season in Montreal and they keep him there. He will be brought along by MSL and get 2nd PP time. I believe he can survive (and thrive) in the NHL because of his smarts as well as his ankle breaking skills. As far as the ROY Calder chances, it will depend on how many points he puts up because he will be going up against some high end forwards, Celebrini, Michkov, McGroarty, Gauthier, etc. It would be a long shot but anything is possible.

On a side note, one of the amateur Habs gossip sites are speculating on Nick Ehlers (Winnipeg) possibly joining his buddy Laine in Montreal, possibly at the trade deadline. Ehlers will be UFA at the end of the year and contract talks are not going well. If Montreal is still in contention by then, maybe Hughes will be a buyer instead of a seller. Lots to look forward to this season. Bring it on!

I know Vikings glory is well in the past. For those who did not watCH Vikings Vahalla, there is no Rangor Lothbrooke. However should he come to Montreal, we could invade Paris at our leisrure. Have you heard Coach ( yes you should be listening to Lou Reed say it) is going to take over the PP. Rock Fast Lane will be the AI on this former basket case. Put his name on Rookie of the Year and the Noriss right now.

  52. Swayman probably wants in the $8.5 range. It's steep for a goalie...we would know...but the cap has increased considerably since that 10.5m TFS contract, so it's less than 10% of the cap which will continue to rise.

So I think it would be awesome if Kent offer sheeted the Broons' keeper at 8.5ish.
It would cost a 1st, 2nd and 3rd next year. They have 2 firsts, 2 seconds and 3 thirds so would still have picks in each round.
No offence to our guys but I just don't see them as franchise goalies.

As she noted this setup last year was interesting
This would give us three lines with some offence rather than loading up the top two with a more traditional three and four arrangement of older vets and big body crashers
